Who We Are

Meet the Dream Team Behind Kickabout: Dan Wells, Ashley Towne, and Jack Murray

At the helm of Kickabout are three football fanatics and friends, Dan Wells, Ashley Towne, and Jack Murray. More than just the founders, they are the heart and soul of this community, tirelessly dedicating their time and energy to promote the love of the beautiful game in Bicester and across Oxfordshire.

Kickabout was conceived out of their shared passion for football and a desire to create an inclusive space for men in their community. They recognized that beyond the hustle and bustle of daily life, men needed a place to unwind, to get active, and to socialize in a positive, healthy way.

"Our vision was simple," they share. "We wanted to create a laid-back environment for men to enjoy football, build fitness, and have a bit of social time as well. We believe that football is more than just a game; it's a means of connection and camaraderie."

The sessions they organise aren't just about winning or losing, but about the joy of the game itself. They strive to ensure that the games are fun, engaging, and welcoming to everyone, regardless of skill level.

Dan, Ashley, and Jack are the driving force behind Kickabout, but they are also its biggest fans. Every game, every pass, every goal is a testament to their dedication and love for football and their community. They truly embody the ethos of Kickabout - creating a social football sanctuary that fosters fitness, friendship, and fun. They invite you to lace up your boots, join in the kickabout, and experience the camaraderie that has become the hallmark of their community.

It's social football - all skill levels are welcome

Feel good, get fitter and have fun!

Social football is a celebration of the beautiful game that emphasises community, inclusivity, and camaraderie. It's about being part of a team, not bound by the constraints of professional skills or background, but by the shared love for football. In this space, judgement is left at the door, allowing everyone to enjoy the game at their own pace. It offers a sanctuary for your mind to unwind and your body to stay active, presenting a fun, alternative path to fitness. Just like a night out with friends at the pub, social football is filled with laughter, banter, and shared moments, but without the alcohol. It's football, friendship, and fitness, all rolled into one.
